Tele van a sötét égbolt ragyogó csillaggal,
Tele van az én szívem is keserű bánattal.
Mit ér nekem, mit ér nekem csillag ragyogása,
Ha az én bús szívemnek nincs vigasztalása.

The dark firmament above is filled with shining stars,
The depths of my heart are filled with bitter sorrow.
What do I care, what do I care, if stars shine above,
While no consolation is found for my aching heart.
